Publication conditions In order to guarantee quality publications consistent with our editorial values, any author wishing to publish with Édition Chrétienne Le Papyrus must respect the following conditions: Be of legal age The author must be at least 18 years old at the time of submitting their manuscript. Write on an ethical theme The proposed works must promote positive moral, educational, spiritual, cultural or social values. Content contrary to ethics, human dignity or good morals will not be accepted. Respect the rules of writing The manuscript must be written in correct, structured and understandable language, with a minimum of care given to spelling, grammar and the general presentation of the text. Avoid any defamation or false accusation No content that harms the honor, reputation or rights of a person or organization will be accepted. The author remains responsible for the content of his work. Submit a completed manuscript Only complete and finalized manuscripts will be considered for publication. Unfinished or partial projects cannot be accepted. Our publication process takes place in several stages: 1. Submission of the manuscript The author submits their full manuscript or a detailed summary of their book on approximately four pages, accompanied by their contact details and a presentation of the project. 2. Book review Our editorial committee reviews the content to assess the quality of the text, the relevance of the theme, respect for our editorial values and the potential of the project. 3. Publication decision and planning After validation of the project, a publication decision is made. A work schedule is then established with the author and the various stakeholders in the editorial project. 4. Proofreading and correction The manuscript goes through a phase of in-depth proofreading and spelling, grammatical and stylistic correction in order to improve the quality of the text. 5. Professional layout and DTP The book is then professionally laid out using Computer Aided Publication (DTP) tools, to ensure an aesthetic and pleasant to read result. 6. Cover Design An original cover adapted to the content of the book is designed in collaboration with the author in order to enhance the visual identity of the book. 7. Purchase of ISBN and barcode We proceed to obtain the ISBN number as well as the creation of the barcode necessary for the marketing of the book. 8. Final corrections A final phase of verification and corrections is carried out before starting printing. 9. Printing of the BAT or test book A Proof (Proof) or test copy is printed in order to control the final quality of the book before final production. 10. Author Validation The author examines the proof and gives final approval for the printing and distribution of the work. 11. Édition Chrétienne Le Papyrus was born from a vision carried by young Christians passionate about literature, culture and the transmission of spiritual values. This editorial adventure has its origins during the Geneva International Book Fair, organized from November 2 to 11, 2018 at the Palexpo in Geneva, on the occasion of its 10th major edition having brought together nearly 600 exhibitors from all over the world. During this international meeting dedicated to books and thought, several young Christian visitors were struck by a worrying reality: the almost total absence of works of Christian literature in many exhibition stands. Despite the richness of Christian thought, its historical, spiritual and cultural contribution seemed little represented in this important global book meeting. Faced with this observation, these young people decided to come together around the same vision: to contribute to the promotion of Christian thought on an international level through the editing, publication and promotion of quality works. They then understood that the dissemination of the Christian message also required an improvement in professionalism in the design of books, both in substance and in form. This is how the idea was born of creating a small publishing company capable of supporting Christian authors in the publication of serious, inspiring works accessible to a wide audience.
