Be master of your environment. (John 5:1-15)
Evangelist
John 5:1-15 tells us of the healing of a sick person at the pool of mercy (Bethesda).
The Bible tells us here about a very delicate situation, because there was an angel who came all the time, who was mandated and sent by God the father to accomplish a specific mission, that of stirring the water so that the first sick person who entered it, regardless of his illness, was instantly and totally healed. This situation in Jerusalem had taken on such proportions that it had become an ordinance (v4) âbecause an angelâŠâ Be careful! this situation made the man a slave because, he said, "from time to time" because no one knew exactly when the water would be agitated. But let us know that we can define an environment here as being a complex environment in which we live and this environment can be characterized by any atmosphere. It is difficult and even impossible as a Christian not to be able to impact our living environment or as the light of the world and salt of the earth not to be able to illuminate and give flavor to our environment.
If the Church does not understand that its authority is greater than that with which the Lord Jesus Christ exercised it is because it has a problem... Listen, beloved, the Bible tells us that Jesus Christ did not die to produce a sick people, he did not die for a sleeping people, for a weak people, for a downcast or poor people but he died to raise up a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a acquired people, a holy nation, a new race of people and it is the superior race of super men and women in Jesus Christ. To achieve this, here are (04) instructions to follow:
- Refuse distraction because it prevents you from receiving the blessings when the Spirit descends.
- You must always have strong hope.
- You should never be discouraged.
- You have to learn to move (v8).
Don't let your environment change you, but change your environment. Don't let these three things consume you (fear, worry and doubt) but replace them with faith, assurance and confidence.
My prayer for you this day is that the Almighty Father gives you in particular to increase your face to face moments with the Holy Spirit.
May the Lord bless you, shalom....
