“The soul of the slothful has desires that he cannot satisfy; But the souls of diligent men will be satisfied. » Proverbs 13:4

The parable of the talents in Matt 26 highlights the place of work in the Christian walk. After praying, fasting, and confessing success, you will have to take the path to work. We are at the beginning of the year, each of us has received from our loved ones every possible wish for happiness, with “powerful” Bible verses. Even if God himself has made promises to you, know that work will be necessary. Again in the Parable of the Talents, the fact that the Master had given talents to each of his servants was already a blessing, he just had to work to multiply them and have the answer to his needs. Everything is available for our year to be prosperous, but we will have to work for this prosperity to become a reality.

I went to a company recently, it turns out that there, when the boss is away the majority of the offices are empty, not only do they not understand the grace they have in having a job, but they are also a shame for the company. Are you one of those people who receive a salary that you did not work for? If you are not worthy of being an employee how can you expect a promotion? God is against laziness! There are enough serious people who pray for a job. Do you know that God blesses those who are serious? If you are a good Christian you will do everything to be a role model in your workplace, and when God is honored by your punctuality and faithfulness then promotion and distinction will be only normal. If you are the type who always looks for an opportunity to escape from work, then God is not proud of you. Lazy people will not be able to move their country forward. There are some who spiritualize their laziness, to escape work they improvise prayer or fasting. Do not let laziness deprive you of the great inheritance that God wants to make available to you.

The Bible says inProv 6:10-11 “A little sleep, a little drowsiness, A little folding of your hands to sleep!... And poverty will overtake you, like a prowler, And scarcity, like a man in arms. » Some people count on the generosity of others for their prophecies to be fulfilled, that’s a mistake! You can't expect to pay your bills when you spend all your time watching TV and chatting while everyone else is working.
Above all, do not despise what you do as an activity, do it with a good heart and with fidelity. Until you have proven your integrity and loyalty in small things you will not get promotions; This is the principle of God as it is written: “…because you have been faithful in a few things, receive the government of ten cities. » Luke 19:17
Be at your post whether the boss is there or not, choose to fear God who sees you even when the Boss does not see you, be punctual, do not envy your colleagues, be content with the place that God has given you, shine with your honesty throughout the year, trust the Lord and the God of Joseph will certainly position you in the heights.
